On this glorious February 14, we spent the day celebrating things and places we love. We did some antiquing near Fayettevile and in Woodbury, traveled backroads all the way, had lunch at The Blackbird Cafe.
Vignettes with hearts were on display everywhere, whetting my appetite for things I’d like to do next year.
I found a few treasures to inspire me…most of them blue and brown. No surprise there. Brought home a few of them, you see.
I've stitched my way through life. Early skills in utilitarian and decorative sewing have merged with art in the world of quiltmaking. My love of journaling has now crossed into the cloth world, too. I love old songs, old souls, old words; my collections attest to my fascination with memories.

Why it called a laundry pin and what is the long thin item in the middle?
The tag said “vintage French laundry pin”. I’ll have to do more research on that. The long thin item is a “vintage embroidery thread winder” complete with some vintage floss.
