Ryan’s Book

This is Ryan’s Book. Those are Ryan’s eyes.

Children love to play peek-a-boo.  Ryan’s Grammy, my friend Betty, knows this.  Betty has made Ryan a personalized Peek-a-Boo book.

Using her quiltmaking skills, plenty of novelty fabrics, and a lot of time, Betty has assembled cloth pages with personalized fun for Ryan.  In his playtime lifting flaps, Ryan will lear words, colors, animal names, and more.

Here is Ryan exploring his book on a recent trip to visit Grammy and Pops. He’s hard at work exploring all the pages and pockets Betty provided.  What a wonderful gift!

I've stitched my way through life. Early skills in utilitarian and decorative sewing have merged with art in the world of quiltmaking. My love of journaling has now crossed into the cloth world, too. I love old songs, old souls, old words; my collections attest to my fascination with memories.
